Pivot3 Expands Sales Leadership by Appointing Dan Flood as Vice President of US Sales

Flood will lead U.S. sales efforts to drive Pivot3’s growth in
enterprise and commercial datacenter markets

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pivot3,
a leading provider of intelligent infrastructure solutions, today
announced that it has expanded its sales leadership with Dan Flood
joining as vice president of U.S. sales. In his role, Flood will lead
Pivot3’s U.S. sales teams to drive the company’s continued growth in the
enterprise and commercial datacenter markets.

Flood joins Pivot3 from Dell EMC where he served as vice president of
sales for its Modern Datacenter Division (MDC) for the Americas Global
Accounts team, a $1.2 billion sector of business that represents Dell
EMC’s storage, converged infrastructure, hyperconverged infrastructure
(HCI) and hybrid cloud portfolios. Prior to that, Flood was at Virtual
Computing Environment (VCE), which became Dell EMC’s Converged Platforms
and Solutions division. At VCE he led the growth of the enterprise and
commercial sales and operations business to $500 million annual revenue.
VCE was consistently the top performing division in the company, with
Flood helping to grow it from a joint venture startup to more than $1
billion in business for Dell EMC, Cisco and VMware.

“Dan brings a wealth of knowledge, energy and experience to Pivot3,
including first-hand insight into the complexities and challenges our
customers face in building a modern datacenter,” said Rance Poehler,
Chief Revenue Officer at Pivot3. “As we grow our sales organization,
Dan’s ability to go deep into markets, navigate executive and committee
sales and create exponential growth will be essential for the next phase
of our expansion. We welcome him to our team and are pleased Pivot3 can
attract top-tier industry talent to support our continued rapid growth.”

In his 20 years of experience, Flood has managed sales teams and general
business operations for solutions and services across storage, server,
network, converged infrastructure, HCI and hybrid cloud markets. As vice
president of U.S. Sales for Pivot3, he will help expand and grow the
company’s channel program and go-to-market strategy while leading the
company’s sales teams to create new revenue streams with IT
transformation and datacenter modernization initiatives.

“Pivot3’s ability to support mission-critical use cases at enterprise
scale is unlike anything else in the industry,” said Flood. “As we enter
the next wave of enterprise digital transformation, I’m excited to be
working alongside and leading the Pivot3 sales team. The team is
dedicated to helping customers experience the true potential of
intelligent infrastructure with solutions that are secure, resilient and
scalable, and addressing the changing needs of the modern datacenter.”
