Maana Named Investment of the Year by Global Corporate Venturing

MENLO PARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Maana, the pioneer of digital knowledge technology, has been named the
Investment of the Year across all industries worldwide at a sub-$50
million range at the fourth-annual Global Corporate Venturing &
Innovation Summit in Monterey, California.

The recognition underlines the role of corporate venture in furthering
three crucial energy trends – widening the group of industries
participating in the transformation of energy, extending the geographic
reach of new energy-relevant technology, and accelerating the uptake of
new energy–relevant technology by large corporations.

“We were humbled to receive an award from Global Corporate Venturing
late last year specific to the energy sector and are honored to have
Maana named as the top investment of the year across all industries,”
said Maana Founder and CEO, Babur Ozden. “Recognitions like these, the
corporate venture capital we’ve raised to date, and the strategic
partnerships we’ve formed with companies like Accenture are a direct
reflection of the increasing demand for our advanced knowledge
technology to help accelerate digital transformation across industries.”

Previously Maana was honored by GCV with their inaugural award for Energy–Tech
Corporate Venturing Investment of the Year
, presented during its
Venture Houston conference in November 2019.

Since the company’s inception in 2012, Maana has raised over $70m,
including $33m of series C funding from Intel Capital, GE Ventures,
Chevron Technology Ventures, Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, Shell
Technology Ventures, Accenture Ventures and CICC.
